Evolve Corporate Finance advises Opus Safety on the acquisition of Suresite

Evolve Corporate Finance, the national M&A advisory practice headquartered in Birmingham, has advised Opus Safety on its latest acquisition of Suresite, as part of an ambitious buy-and-build growth strategy.

Birmingham-based Opus Safety provides services to a broad range of SMEs nationwide. Founded by John Southall, Ian Hatherly and Tom Baverstock, it has built a strong reputation as a high-quality, solution-led partner for health and safety, HR and occupational health. Its proprietary Opus Compliance Cloud software solution helps clients transform and digitise their operations.

The business has acquired the health and safety function of Preston-based Suresite, a specialist retail solutions provider that helps retailers improve safety, compliance and operational performance, for an undisclosed sum.

This latest acquisition provides Opus Safety with a significant route into the petrol forecourt market, servicing more than 3,500 petrol stations across the UK.

It is the fifth acquisition completed by the business, following the purchase of Agility Risk & Compliance, Three Spires Safety, GH Safety, and Sentinel Safety Solutions, and forms part of a long-term buy-and-build drive.

As part of the deal, all consultants at Suresite will move to Opus Safety, together with a network of associates.

An advisory team at Evolve Corporate Finance, led by David Neate, partner, with support from senior associate Will Buchanan, provided advice to the board and management team of Opus Safety on the acquisition.
